No Sweethearts for 2019

January 28, 2019

Over the years, the only consistent thing on Valentine’s Day has been the Sweetheart candies. “Luv You” or “Be Mine” If nothing else felt like the day of love, those candies did. But not in 2019.

The New England confectionary company, Necco, shut the doors to its factory in 2018 and was sold to the the Spangler Candy Company. With little time for production, the Spangler Company could not put the beloved candies on the shelves in time. They have promised a resurgence of the iconic candy for Valentines Day 2020.

Side Note: ¬†2020 is next year. That’s so fucking wild to me!
