A Song for the Brokenhearted & Misunderstood: “Dear You” By Ki Alexis Out Today!

October 8, 2021

While we see a cutie with a smile that could melt your heart, Ki Alexis’s newest release, “Dear You” is an open letter to those who have been hurt and felt like there was no one there for them. We’ve all been there and it’s surely not a place that we’d desire to be. But Ki is introducing the world to the real deal, Jesus. Here’s what Ki wrote to her audience on Instagram before the release of her song:

“if you ever been/is getting bullied, abused, assaulted, shunned OR misunderstood—this song is for you! I wrote this song from a place when I experienced my dose of hurting from this level. Family, “friends”, church members & strangers all took a hit at me; but when people were against me… JESUS STOOD BESIDE ME! So, i wrote this song to encourage anyone of any age who is experiencing this & to remind you this… FORGET THE NAYSAYERS & KNOW THAT JESUS IS THE ONE WHO UNDERSTANDS YOU & WHO’LL NEVER LEAVE YOU. He is Your Rock.⚡️❤️🖤🤟🏾

This song takes me to sitting in the back seat of a car, peering out the window after a long day of school, maybe even a long walk after getting into it with your family; in those moments there’s the option to accept the loneliness of this world or the peace that surpasses all understanding that Jesus provides.

Say what you want, but the truth is that Jesus is the real homie, lover, friend.

Receiving Christ is the best thing that anybody could do because when life gets hard, there’s always reassurance there. There’s always that friend there who reminds you of your worth and who will love your beyond your tears. Jesus is really like that and it feels so good. Ki Reminds us of this in “Dear You.”

Ki’s music repertoire is surely one to be reckoned with. From her two EP’s “Become” and “Porn Kills” which we’re gonna dive into on our live Thursday via Naveszn Official’s Instagram; Her transparency is her super power. Her music continues to give a voice to those who’ve been shut up and shut out by religion, lies and fear.

There is freedom in the place of transparency.

We can’t wait for more music Ki  and thank you for “Dear You” It’s real personal for many of us!
